Colourful Summer

Colourful summer

Hi everyone!
First of all, I want to apologize for my absence this summer. I've not only been without Wi-Fi for a long time, but also been busy with cleaning out my room, so that I can move into my sister's room, when I've painted it. So yes, I've been very busy, but I guess that's no excuse for not even doing a single blog post. But the thing is, that I've just not been in the mood, or inspired at all. You see, lately many things just seem to have gone wrong for me, and that just seems to have stopped me from doing anything that I planned to do this summer. And now, I've started in school again, so I guess this will just be another thing stopping me from doing posts. But I'll still try to do some every now and then, don't worry.
Anyway, I thought that I'd just let you know about some of these things, and also show you this makeup look I did last week. It's a very summery look, and also quite bright, so not really something you'd wear for everyday.

Purple spring look

Hey Guys!
Today, I'm sharing a really pretty summer appropriate makeup look with you. I was really inspired to do this look, because I saw a few tutorials using brighter colours, and when I then looked at the flowers in the garden of my summerhouse, I was so inspired to do this look.

The flowers that I was mainly inspired by, were the purple rhododendrons. They have this gorgeous purple shade, with a bit of peach detail, and a very soft look.

Here is the look.
How to achieve the look:
  1. Prime your eyelids, so that your eyeshadow will go on smoothly, and stay all day.
  2. Apply a very light brown throughout your crease, all the way from inner to outer corner. This will help create a soft look to the eyelook, and also help blend out the shadows.
  3. Apply a peachy-pink shade on your eyelid, but not all the way into the inner corner, only about halfway.
  4. Then apply a orchid purple throughout your crease, and onto the outer part of the eyelid. Make sure to blend it out, so that it looks soft.
  5. Apply a darker purple in the outer corner, in a slight V-shape, to intensify the eyes.
  6. Then blend a turquoise-green eyeshadow under your lower lashes, to symbolize the leaves of the flowers.
  7. Lastly, apply a light, pearly eyeshadow in the inner corner and on the brow bone, to brighten and highlight.

Here's just another picture of the eye look, where you are more able to see the green. (Please excuse the pimple /: )

Hope you have a nice day! <3

A few things I bought

Alright, so guess who went shopping again.
I bought a backup of my favourite spot treatment, and also a backup of my favourite powder for setting my concealer. Then I went to Lush, to check out their masks, and right there, in front of me, was the "Mask Of Magnaminty" which Jaclyn Hill has been raving about for ages. I couldn't stop myself from treating myself and getting it, since I knew it was a great product.
It was pretty much the same situation with Benefit's Porefessional. I knew that a load of people recommended it, and I even had a 20% off coupon, so I just went ahead and bought it, because this Saturday was a day where I bought stuff I didn't need, okay?!

Anyway, I'm planning on doing a load of reviews, of products I've bought over the last couple of months, in about two weeks time. "Why not now?", you might think. Well, I'm going on a Biology trip this Thursday and Friday, and the upcoming week is absolutely packed with tests, projects and appointments. I'll of course try to make a post in the weekend of that week, but I can't promise that I will, since I'm so busy. Sorry about this, but I promise you that I will do many more posts when I have free in the summer.

But don't you worry, I've made a long list of posts I want to do, and if you want me to review something, just go ahead and ask!

Love y'all! <3

(Sorry for the boring post...)

TMI Tag

TMI Tag

Hey guys! So today I really wanted to do a post where you would get to know me a bit better! So I'm doing the TMI Tag! (Too much information tag)

1: What are you wearing?
- My pajamas. Cause they're comfy! <3

 2: Ever been in love?
- I've later found out that I haven't.

3: Ever had a terrible breakup?
- Well, partly yes, partly no. We both agreed that it didn't work out, but it was still really sad to let go of a person, who I had really enjoyed spending my time with.

 4: How tall are you?
- I'm not sure, but I think I'm about 1.64 metres.

5: How much do you weigh?
- I've never been very secure about my weight, but at the moment I'm between 40 and 45 Kg.

 6: Any tattoos?
- Nope.

 7: Any piercings?
- Only my ears.

 8: OTP?
- Oh, this is hard... No, I can't choose!

 9: Favorite show?
- Oh no... Downton Abbey or Friends? Again, I can't choose!

 10: Favorite bands?
- Imagine Dragons and Coldplay.

 11: Something you miss?
- Matthew from Downton Abbey...

 12: Favorite song?
- God, this is just so hard... At the moment I'm loving John Legend's All Of Me, but I'm also obsessed with Adele's songs at the moment.

 13: How old are you?
- 14

 14: Zodiac sign?
- Virgo.

15: Quality you look for in a partner?
- Acceptance of me, and how I choose to dress and so on.

 16: Favorite Quote?
- Do what you love, and love what you do.

 17: Favorite actor?
- Robert Downey Jr., Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and many, many more...

 18: Favorite color?
- Black and turquoise.

 19: Loud music or soft?
- Depends on my mood, but mainly loud.

20: Where do you go when you’re sad?
- My bed. Or I go outside. I often also go for a run, to get my frustrations out.

21: How long does it take you to shower?
- That definitely depends on what I have to do. If I have to get ready for a date it can take me up to an hour, but if I just have to quickly wash my hair, it'll usually take me around 10 - 25 minutes.

22: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
- Um... Makeup and hair takes about half an hour, but the whole process of getting up to getting out the door usually takes me about an hour, and a bit more if it's possible!

23: Ever been in a physical fight?
- Yes... Did not enjoy it.

 24: Turn on?
- Kindness  towards, and respect of, other people.

 25: Turn off?
- The opposite, of course! No respect of the people and things around you, pisses me off!

26: The reason I joined Youtube?
- I haven't. Yet!

 27: Fears?
- Heights, falling and throwing up.

28: Last thing that made you cry?
- Michelle Phan's Remember The Girl video.

29: Last time you said you loved someone?
- Yesterday.

30: Meaning behind your YouTube Name?
- I'll just do this with my blogger name. (Callatheflower) This is basically just inspired by a book series where a girl was called Calla, and then I think the flower is pretty too.

 31: Last book you read?
- A Danish book we had to read for school. Really boring!

32: The book you’re currently reading?
-I'm not currently reading a book, since it's hard for me to find an interesting book.

 33: Last show you watched?
- Bones.

34: Last person you talked to?
- My mom.

35: The relationship between you and the person you last texted?
- Friends.

- Pizza or lasagna.

37: Place you want to visit?
- LA and Paris.

 38: Last place you were?
- My room.

39: Do you have a crush?
- Currently, no.

40: Last time you kissed someone?
- Long ago ):

41: Last time you were insulted?
- To be honest, I'm not sure. I don't take insults personally very often, so I can't really remember a lot of the times where I was insulted.

 42: Favorite flavor of sweet?
- Chocolate. Cookies.

43: What instruments do you play??
- A bit of piano, and guitar.

 44: Favorite piece of jewelry?
- Probably a medallion I got from my grandmother. It's so unique and special to me, and I want to keep it as a memory of her, when she passes away at some point.

- Whoever wants to! And Miriam Hart! <3

Hope you guys enjoyed it!
See you next time! <3

Clothes Haul!

 Hey everyone!

I have another haul for you guys. This time, it's all clothing, but I will be having a beauty one up soon as well.

The first place I went to was the store here in Luxembourg called Secondhand4sale. I'll have links for everything in the end of the post. This store is owned by my mother, and she told me that two women who were quite petite, had delivered a lot of clothes, and I immediately wanted to have a look, to see if there was anything I liked. And there definitely was! Afterwards I also went to H&M, to check out some sales and new clothes. (I know the picture shows bags from Sephora and The body shop as well, but that's for my beauty haul!)

The first thing I got in Secondhand4sale, is a pair of boots. These are by an Italian brand, and the strap on them can be taken off, which I think I'll do, since I don't like the detail too much.

I got another pair of booties, and these are by the same brand. I absolutely love these boots, and they're really comfortable and pretty! I love that they're both leather and skin, and that they have the strap detail that isn't too overwhelming.

The next thing I got, is a white leather jacket from the brand Pinko, and this jacket is seriously amazing quality! And if you didn't know, I have an obsession with leather jackets, and if I could, I would probably own one in every colour under the rainbow.

Then I got a simple blue dress from Asos. This fits me pretty much perfectly, and I think this is going to be the dress I'll be wearing at my sisters graduation!

Then I got a pair of jeans from Vero Moda. These are just coral jeans, but the thing is, that they are made from a sort of water resistant material, so that they are a bit shiny.

I got a black dress, but I have no idea where it is from, since the tag has been cut out. It's just ruffled and with leather detail on the chest. I thought that this would be a great everyday dress, that you can use for both parties and school.

Then I got two shirts from H&M, and I thought that these would be great for summer, for wearing on top of a bikini, or just with a tank top underneath.

I the got a sweater from Promod. This is just a wine coloured sweater with navy sleeves and cheetah print. I really love sweaters, but I don't own so many, so I thought that this was a great opportunity for me to get an oversize sweater for a cheap price.

Next, I got this black leather skirt from Asos, and I really love this skirt! It fits me perfectly, and I love how the leather feels soft, and also the length of the skirt.

Then I got this really amazing dress, by the brand Liquorish. It's a sparkly dress, with blue details in it, and it's just such an amazing length, and quality. This, I think I might use for new years eve, or for a more "glam" party.

Next, I went to H&M, and I didn't go too crazy, but I did buy some exciting stuff!

First, I got some jewelry. I got this chain choker necklace, with black bound into it. The necklace was 7€, which I thought was a fair price.
I then got a pair of earrings, which are drop earrings, with two triangles, one is netted silver, the other black. These were 3€, which was great to me!

Then I got this flower-print tank top, which was 7€. I thought this would be great for summer, and for pairing with my black jeans and leather jacket.

Then I got another sweater, and this is just a dark army green sweater, with gold and silver details at the neck. This was 15€, and it's a really soft and comfy material, so I do think it's worth the money.

Lastly, I got this black and white printed skirt. This was originally 18€, but it was on sale for 10€, so I just couldn't resist! It's a really nice length, since it isn't too long or too short.

I hope you guys enjoyed the post! I'm sorry that it's up so late, but I had loads of trouble with editing this post, and trust me, it was really frustrating! Anyway, I'm really happy that it can go up now, and I'm glad to tell you guys that I'll also be doing a beauty haul soon, and probably also loads of outfit posts, as you might be able to tell! If you have any requests for posts, or just ideas, feel free to leave a comment about it!

Love you! <3

Here is the link for Secondhand4sale:

Just a little disclaimer by the way: I didn't show these products because it's my mom's shop, but because I'm actually really excited about the products, and because I want to show younger people that you can find amazing deals in secondhand stores!

What's In My Bag?

Hey everyone!

So today, I'm doing a what's in my bag post! I kind of got inspired by Miriam Hart,  from
Hart Of Fashion, to do this post, and I didn't really have anything else ready for you guys to see! Sorry for the period with no posts, I was just a bit busy, and I'm working on loads of reviews, outfits, tutorials and also a haul! So you guys will definitely see more posts soon!

Anyway, let's start snooping around in my bag!

Alright, so my bag is by the brand Yrstrdy, yes I know, really weird brand name! I bought it in a store called I Am, which basically retails SIX jewelry. My wallet is from the same brand and store.

In my bag, I always keep a little makeup bag with some stuff I just use during the day. I also have my IPod Nano, my sunglasses, some water, and a pack of gum. Next to it, you can see that I also bring a notebook and a calendar. The calendar, I just use to keep everything organized, with my appointments and homework. The pink notebook, I basically use for writing down everything that I feel like I need to write down. I write blog post ideas, shopping lists, wish lists and random ideas in there, and I also often scribble drawings in there.

At the moment I'm also bringing a Danish book with me, because we we're assigned to read it for homework, and when you're on the bus It's great to have something to read in. I'll often actually bring a book with me, if I know I'll be spending time waiting or something like that.

Here's a close up of my makeup bag, and what's inside it.

I don't know where the bag is from, since it was a gift. Inside it I keep a little mirror, with a brush inside it, a kabuki brush, nail clippers and a nail file. I keep the mirror and brush in there for touch-ups during the day, and the nail things for when I break a nail, since my nails tend to break really easily. Next, I have a little travel perfume container, which I love, because it means that I can put on some perfume after gym, or if I just feel a bit stinky! Then I have my favourite touch-up powder, the L'Oreal True Match powder, a Body Shop Born Lippy Pomegranate lip balm, and the lipstick and/or lipgloss I used the particular day.

Hope you guys liked the post!
As I said in the start, there's more posts coming, and they might come a bit slowly, but that's only because of school, and because I want to work hard on these posts, so that you guys can enjoy a well-made post now and then, instead of crappy posts all the time!

Bye! <3

Brow Routine

Brow Routine

Hey guys!
So today, I'm showing you guys my brow routine. I wouldn't say that I'm amazing at doing my brows, I have just had quite a few questions on what products I use, and how I use them.
I always try to keep my brows quite natural, since I have blonde hair, and I do go to school.
But anyway, here's my brow routine!

This is just the look I'm going for, just so you can see what it looks like.

Here are the tools I use:

1: A brow shaping tool. (I got this from a drugstore in Denmark.)

2: A brow pencil. (These are the Yves Rocher and Maybelline mastershape brow pencils.)

3: A brow gel. (This one is not very good, but I use the Dessange brow gel in Dark Blond)

The 6 easy steps!

Step 1: The first thing I do, is to correct and shape my brows with the brow shaping tool. I don't do this every day, at all, but I usually do it every once a week, so that my brows are easy to fill in and shape later. You can of course also get this done by a professional, but I just like to do it myself.

Step 2: What I then do next, is just shaping my brows, and coming them through with a spoolie. You can either buy one separately, or just use one on the end of a brow pencil.

Step 3: Then I start filling in my brows, with the brow pencil. Here I'm using the Yves Rocher brow pencil, but you can use whatever brow pencil you like. What I usually do first, is to just fill in the tail of my brow, and right above the arch, because that is the place where your brows would naturally be the darkest.

Step 4: Next, I just lightly draw a line at the bottom of my brow, for me to follow. This will make your brows look more precise, and straight. I then just fill in any sparse areas, with light strokes, so that it looks very natural and feathery. You don't want to press to hard, with the pencil, because if you do, you'll end up making your brows too dark, and to thick looking. (If you mess up, and make a very dark line, you can always take the spoolie, or your little finger and lightly blend it out.)

Step 5: Then I just very, and I mean very lightly, I fill in the inner part of my brow, by making small feathery strokes, going upwards. You don't want the inner parts of your brows to be too dark, because then it will look very fake, and unnatural.

Step 6: The last thing I do, is to just set my brows with a brow gel. I don't do this every day at all, since this brow gel sucks, and I don't feel like it does so much of a difference. But if you own a great brow gel, then of course use it! This will make your brows stay all day, and keep them from moving around. (I don't know about you, but I suffer from fluffy eyebrows!)

So is the finished brow! This doesn't really take me long in the morning at all, unless I'm having a bad brow day. (Sorry for looking so red in this picture, I don't really know what happened?)

I hoped you enjoyed this blog post, I definitely enjoyed making it!

Love ya'! <3

PS: I might do a tutorial on this look soon... Tell me if you want to see it!

Wednesday 5 March 2014

Hey everyone!
So today I'm just going to share some stuff that I got recently!
The main amount of the products are drugstore, because that's usually what I prefer to buy.

I got two eyeliners from Yves Rocher, because they were on sale for only 5 €. The one to the left is the shade 06 Cuivre and the right one is 02 Bleu.

I got the L'oreal Infallible superliner in black. This is probably my new favourite eyeliner, since it's felt-tip and super thin, so you can create a really perfect winged eyeliner.

Then I got the Yves Rocher makeup sponge. This was 8 € and I bought it, because I really wanted to try to use a sponge for my makeup. (Please excuse the fact that it's super dirty. I used it this morning, and I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to clean it yet!)

I got this Be Creative Licious Lips lip gloss in 004 Grace. This is a high-end product, but I must admit that I have never heard of this brand before. I bought it in a high-end retail store called Ici Paris XL, but I haven't seen the brand anywhere else.

I then got the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense colour balm, in the shade 100 Give Me A Cuddle. I'm planning on doing a review on this, since I have a very strong opinion about it already.

I also got the Sephora lip gloss with four colours in it, because I had a little giftcard thingy, which said I could get it for free, because my mom's birthday is in March.

Next up, I got the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light. This powder was put down to about 10 € and I just really wanted to try out some more powders, and loved the finish of this powder when I swatched it.

Then I got the Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature eyebrow pencil in the shade 01 Blond. The first impression I got of this, is that it is much longer than other brow pencils, and actually didn't fit in the container I wanted to put it into. I guess it's a god thing though, since it must mean that you get more product for your money.

Yay, I got another high-end product! I got the Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay, and oh my gosh guys, this is probably my new favourite palette! I'll do a review on it, so you can get more details about it!

I got the L'Oreal Glam Bronze bronzer and highlighter duo, in the shade 101 Blonde Harmony. Again, I'm planning on doing a review on it, so you can get some more details about it!

Then I got the L'Oreal True Match Magic Touch Highlighter pen, and I'm really excited to try this out, since it's a really nice salmon-pink colour, which should be great for my fair skin.

I got another Maybelline Fit Me! Blush, because I just couldn't resist, and because this shade was exactly what I was looking for! This one is in the shade Deep Pink, and I have already done a review of the first one I got on my tumblr, if you want to go check it out.

Next I got the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade Pink Gold. I bought this because rose-toned eyeshadows have been really in lately, and because I thought this would be a great everyday base for your eyeshadow, since it's more neutral.

I got a Body Shop candle, with green tea and lemon, and this is just the most gorgeous candle ever! It freshens up my room, but isn't as overwhelming as many other candles are.

Lastly, I got the Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick in the shade 016 Heartbreaker. This is just a gorgeous dark, vampy, burgundy colour, which is perfect for fall and winter.

If you want me to do reviews on any of this stuff, feel free to ask me to do so! I would also love to hear you guys' recommendations and thoughts!

If you want to see some older reviews and pictures, go check out my Tumblr: http://callatheflower.tumblr.com/

From now on, since I made this blog, I'm planning on only posting pictures of makeup looks, inspiration pictures, and just stuff I'm loving on my Tumblr.
